Week 3: Websites of the Day

This blog is ran by a guy named Larry Ferlazzo who finds websites that will help teachers teach ELL, ESL, and EFL. He has a tab on his blog that has articles that he has written which captured by attention, one of which that has many links of website games. It’s called “Games Students Can Play.” He had great ideas for easy and cheap games to use in the classroom. One that I really liked and plan on doing someday in my classroom is the use of whiteboards. I think they are absolutely great! I still love writing on them! One idea he uses them for is when practicing spelling words. He would have the kids group up in groups of three or four, or have them do it on their own. And as a class they would review the spelling words as the teacher would call out the words. It’s fun AND engaging.
